We are proud to unveil a groundbreaking advancement in sail design with the introduction of the Continuous Radial Panel Layout for our 2025 sail range. This innovative layout marks a significant evolution from the traditional horizontal and vertical panel structures, creating a unique experience for windsurfers worldwide.
Originating in our IQ-ME and Matrix-ME membrane sails this innovative design has now been applied to specific sail models, manufactured from more traditional materials. The result is a boost in performance and responsiveness across all paremeters.
What is the Continuous Radial Panel Layout?
The Continuous Radial Panel Layout reimagines traditional sail construction by aligning larger continuous sail panels from corner to corner without interruptions through seams. Originally this design was implemented to prevent Technora fibers from being cut through seams in the membrane panels of our IQ-ME and Matrix-ME sails. This design enables the sail panels and Technora fiber lines to truly work as a unit and significantly enhances the sail’s responsiveness and performance.
Sail designer Peter Munzlinger saw huge potential in transferring this construction to sails that are manufactured from traditional monofilm and X-Ply materials after testing the first prototypes against sails, built with a common panel layout.

Our prototypes, compared to traditional designs, showed noticeable improvements in control and responsiveness. This became even more apparent utilizing our 3D design software during the development process, which allows us to choose different panel layout solutions on the same 3D mold of the sail, leading to this game-changing innovation.
Specific sail models from the 2025 lineup, including the Matrix, Cosmic, Vapor and Vapor Air, will feature the Continuous Radial Panel Layout in addition to our membrane sails IQ-ME and Matrix-ME. Each of these sails now boasts continuous panels from corner to corner, except where different materials meet, such as the sail window, where reinforced double seams are applied.
